Everyone who knows me understands how passionate I am about my work and how deeply I love creating opportunities for people. My career has been grounded in recruitment. I found my niche in IT recruitment in a Technology, Transformation and Digital Recruitment team.
Cucumber is a brand I’ve admired for some time. As a Technology company they do really cutting-edge work and the idea of going from the recruitment industry to a tech company was exciting to my inner geek.
Their values align with what’s important to me – a quirky, fun, family first, flexible work culture of innovative thinkers. Their projects create real impact, they value diversity and directly support women in Tech. I could go on.
Society has changed.
The days of employees being expected to just be grateful that they even have a job are over. Likewise, the ever-rising salaries and contractor rates sparked by the current talent shortage creates real challenge for businesses. The modern worker wants more than just a paycheque; they want a fulfilling and meaningful career with advancement, professional development, and flexible working opportunities. The modern employer wants skilled, motivated professionals whose values align with theirs and who have a strong desire to learn, improvement mindset, and excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Fulltime, part-time, fixed term, permanent, short/long contracts, fully remote/onsite/mix, onshore/offshore and there aren’t always good solutions available to employees or employers to achieve that win-win outcome.
